Young Arts This year our first Young Arts project involved Antony Penrose, who came to lecture to the Trent Valley society and offered to give an extra presentation to Primary School children in the Vale of Belvoir. Allington and Sedgebrook  School eagerly accepted the offer and Antony spoke to the children about Picasso, a friend of his parents, Roland Penrose and Lee Miller, who used to visit their home when Antony was a child.  He based his talk on the animals Picasso had at his home in France  and there was a lively question and answer session afterwards.  The children followed up the talk by making a book of their own favourite animals, drawing and painting Picasso-style. As yet we have no Young Arts Representative, but a visit is planned at the beginning of the new season by the Area Representative, Sue Punt, who will give a short presentation about the sort of projects we might like to undertake.
